So, on April 14, 2009, I made an entry on my new calling. The Sunday before Conference last October, I was called as Sunday School President. Sometime just before conference last April, I was called as Stake Music Chairman. I joked about what I might be called to in this October's conference. Maybe I shouldn't have joked quite so loudly...
Yes, I did indeed get another calling the Sunday before October General Conference. No, wasn't called as Elder's Quorum President, like Eliza suggested. I was sustained and set apart for the new calling last Sunday. I wasn't released from my calling as Stake Music Chairman. Rather, I was asked to serve, in addition to my new calling, as Ward Music Chairman. So, we're keeping up the trend. Three conferences in a row!
I really am excited to serve in my new calling. We have Stake Conference this weekend, and Ward Conference in about a month, so I definitely have a big job for the rest of this semester. But you know what? I love it! I love serving in the church! For some reason, that's where my life really is. School's important, but I live to serve in the church.
